05 · Between Grooms
Keep the boutique feeling going
The same aftercare guidance we hand every client, from Michelle's aftercare guide.
- Brush your dog every 2–3 days to prevent matting and keep the coat healthy.
- Little and often beats a long battle — keep sessions short and positive.
- We recommend rebooking every 6–8 weeks to maintain coat condition.
- Wait at least 2 weeks before bathing at home to let natural oils recover.
- Use premium, pH-balanced products suitable for sensitive skin — the same standard we use in the salon.
- Check ears weekly for redness or odour. Clean gently with a damp cotton pad.
- Wipe around the eyes daily with a soft, damp cloth to prevent staining.
- Nails should be trimmed every 4–6 weeks. Walks on hard surfaces help naturally file them.
- Watch for any dry patches or irritation. Contact us if you notice anything unusual.
- Please ensure your dog has been to the toilet before arriving.
- Let us know about any lumps, sore spots, or sensitive areas — and any medication in advance.
- Remove collars, harnesses and clothing before drop-off, and bring your own lead for collection.
- Appointments last 1.5 to 3 hours depending on breed and coat condition — you'll get a message the moment your dog is ready.

Important information
Cancellation Policy
We require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a charge of 100% of the booked service price. We understand life happens — please just let us know as soon as you can.
Vaccination Requirements
All dogs must be up to date with their vaccinations. Please bring proof of vaccination for your first visit. This protects your dog and all the other dogs we care for.
Matted Coats
Severely matted coats may need to be clipped short for your dog's comfort and welfare. We'll always discuss options with you first and act in your dog's best interest. De-matting that causes distress will not be continued — your dog's wellbeing comes first.
Puppy & Senior Dogs
Puppies can visit from 12 weeks old (after their second vaccination). We take extra care with senior dogs, adapting our approach to their needs and comfort levels. Please let us know about any health conditions or mobility issues.
Aggressive or Anxious Dogs
Please inform us of any behavioural concerns before your appointment. We're experienced with nervous dogs and will always work at your dog's pace. However, we reserve the right to stop a groom if we feel the dog is in distress, for the safety of your pet and our groomer.
Drop-off & Collection
Please arrive on time for your appointment. Late arrivals may result in a shortened groom. We'll contact you when your dog is ready for collection — please be available to collect promptly. A late collection fee of £5 per 15 minutes may apply after 30 minutes.
